The Marvel cinematographic universe had developed at an approximately equivalent pace to the real universe, but after the return of Bob Iger as Disney CEO, there was a strong feeling McU had done too fast. There was a public effort to Produce fewer Marvel series for Disney +And yesterday we learned several The shows that had been developing at Marvel had been canned.
Shows, including Nova, terror, inc. And Strange academyhad not been announced publicly or put on the official list of The next Marvel TV showsIt therefore seemed likely that it was just a case not to go ahead on ideas, not real projects. However, it now seems that it was not quite the case.
Canceled Marvel shows may have been further than we thought
According to Daniel Richtman (via Comicbook), while none of the three shows had been given a slight official, all had solid concepts in place and even attached directors. One could assume that they would have filmed the pilots, if not more, the series had left in front of the cameras.
If there were people in place to act as directors, and perhaps the showrunners, then there was probably active work to transform these programs into realities. Although this is not like what the emissions have become with regard to the casting, at least one of them would have brought characters already established.
The three canceled programs seem incredible
Strange academy would have played the sorcerer of Benedict Wong, Supreme Wong, and focused on forming a new generation of wizards. The casting would have included America Ferrara, played by Xochitl Gomez in Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madnessand Zelma Stanton, who will be presented in the next Iron heart series Later this year and played by Regan Aliyah. Amy Rardin, the editor -in -chief of Echowas ready to lead the series.
THE Nova series, which is that of the project Marvel had confirmed in developmentwould have been fixed as a result of the invisible attack by Thanos to take the power stone, which decimated the Nova body. The show would focus on Richard Rider, the first Nova of the comics, while working to rebuild the Nova Corps in the face of a new threat. Glenn Close and John C. Reiley had to resume their roles from the first Galaxy goalkeepers movie. Ancient Criminal minds Executive producer Ed Bernero was to lead.
Finally, Terror, Inc. Would have been a real series of horror, according to the anti-Héros Marvel terror which earns the power of others by greting their members on its body. It seems absolutely horrible and different from everything we have seen in the MCU, but that is what makes it exciting. Peter Cameron, who wrote for several Marvel projects, including Night Wolf-Garouwas attached to it.
The fact that the wheels have stopped lighting these emissions at the moment does not mean that they are completely dead in the water. It is reported that development could be resumed in the future. I certainly hope that it is because the three shows seem that they could have been great.
