THE Conservative Caucus typed the former leader Andrew Scheer To direct the party to the House of Commons when the Parliament resumed on May 26 – a necessary role because Stone lost its headquarters in last week.
“I will take control of the parliamentary leadership functions of the Caucus until Mr. Poilievre is delighted in the House,” said Scheer to journalists after having emerged Tuesday from a Caucus meeting all day on the hill of the Parliament.
He also promised that the conservatives “will do our best as an official opposition to keep the government to account” with regard to the trade war with the United States, but also to help the Liberals “in any way possible” to obtain “a good deal for Canada”.
“The threats of the prices, threats of annexation, all of this must stop,” he said.
Hairyre has met with journalists for the first time since the elections on Tuesday morning while he was heading for the meeting, saying that the conservatives will spend the summer to “listen carefully to people” after another electoral loss.
But he also said that there were a lot of the proud and grateful toies in the election results and underlined the collapse of the NPD support as a reason for the liberal victory.
“If you had told me that we would get 41% of the votes a few years ago, I would have said:” Wow, it’s ambitious “,” he said.
“But if you told me that we would get 41% of the votes and that we still do not win, I would have said:” You are crazy. “”

The NPD has gone from 24 seats to only seven after the elections. The Liberals picked up seven seats won by the NPD in 2021 and the Conservatives collected 10.

The 143 conservatives elected on April 28 gathered to analyze the results and discuss the reform law, which would allow the Caucus to call for a leadership review.
Scheer would not reveal how these discussions took place on Tuesday evening, although reports citing anonymous sources said that the Caucus had adopted the provisions of the Reformation Act.
This is the mechanism that was used to oust former leader Erin O’Toole after the party did not beat the Liberals of Trudeau in the 2021 elections. Hairy was won the leadership at the end of 2022 with an overwhelming majority of the support of the members of the Conservative Party.
Before the start of the meeting, Scheer was part of a number of high -level conservatives who supported the continuous Leadership of Hairy.
“I am convinced that our chef, Pierre Hairy, will be able to make some adjustments to finish work next time,” said Scheer.
He said the party would analyze the campaign in the coming months.
“Whenever you do not form the government, you must see why, but we are also incredibly optimistic about the base we built,” said Scheer on Tuesday morning.

Michael Barrett, the former critic of ethics which was re -elected in the conduct of Leeds – Grenville – a thousand islands – Rideau Lakes, “said that” everyone is very favorable. We are behind Pierre Hairyvre ”.
“We have some lessons to learn from the campaign,” said Barrett. “We are going to have these conversations in Caucus today.”
In a video published on social networks on Monday, Hairy is committed to “learning and growing” and said that his team had to develop.
He did not answer questions about what it could mean for Jenni Byrne, the party campaign director. Byrne faced criticism from the inside and outside the conservative movement during the electoral campaign while the example of the party in the polls has evaporated.
“She has done a lot of hard work and our team has a lot to be proud,” said Hairyvre.
Several conservative staff have left their employment since the election results, including Sebastian Skamski, who was the press secretary of Hairyvre, and Ben Woodfinden, director of communications.
Hairyvre soon turns his attention to another campaign as he is looking for a seat in the House of Commons.
The elected deputy, Damien Kurek, said that he would resign his seat in the rural driving of the Alberta de Battle River – Crowfoot to give hairy the possibility of running in a partial part.
Kurek can only resign once it has been sworn in as a deputy, a process that begins after the elections that Canada has officially certified the results – something that will happen by May 19.
The government has up to 180 days to call the partial part, but Prime Minister Mark Carney said last week that he would soon call it.
Hairyvre thanked the inhabitants of Carleton for having chosen her for more than 20 years on Tuesday.
He also called the Liberal MP Bruce Fanjoy on Monday evening to congratulate him. Fanjoy’s campaign spokesperson said the call was polite, short and cordial.
