
Stephen Kavanagh, an experienced C-Suite and former CEO of Aer Lingus, will appear as part of the Florida State College of Business series at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 24, at Rovetta Business Building, 214.
The event is open to all students of FSU Business, Hospitality and Sport Management. Kavanagh will exhibit his business experience, his advice and his success that have led to a dynamic career.
Kavanagh retired as CEO of Aer Lingus, the airline of Ireland’s flag carrier in 2019 after a 30 -year -old career. He has held several management positions, including the director of strategy and planning and the commercial director. He retired as an independent director of the board of directors in 2024.
During his stay with Aer Lingus, he helped direct the development of a successful value model that saw the company increase a third to more than 2 billion euros in income, double the operating margin and offer a Back to the capital invested in the tip of industry.
Kavanagh is currently non -executive director of CDB Aviation Finance, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Oman Air and Oman Airports Company. He also co -chaired the College Football Classic series in Dublin, Ireland, in which FSU participated in the 2024 season.
The College of Business was elected the best college for business in America, according to the best public universities in Niche in 2025 in America. Among the many notable classifications of the college, its real estate program is classified second national according to the classification of the real estate academic direction (real) in 2024.
The Dr. William T. Hold / The Alliances in Risk and Insurance Program obtained a N ° 4 ranking among the best public and private RMI programs in the country, according to the “Best Colleges 2025” guide of the US News & World Report.
