The city of Conway hopes that people will enjoy the spring weather and support local businesses while the city deploys a new downtown entertainment area.
Conway, ark. – Spring is on our doorstep, which means that we have a lot of beautiful hot days to come – with this is the perfect opportunity to walk in town and support local businesses.
This is what the city of Conway hopes that people will do as it deploys a new downtown entertainment district.
Good times with good people. This is what entertainment areas are, but a lot of planning is to have a safe and fun experience for everyone.
“What we saw was very promising, and we just hope that this trend will continue,” said the spokesman for Conway City, Bobby Kelly.
The trend he talks about refers to the city center district that launched last week.
The municipal council approved it last December and so far, Kelly said it was going very well.
The district covers a large part of the city center and inside, people aged 21 and over can walk with alcoholic drinks.
“You can’t walk with one of the official cuts without one of the official groups, right? This kind of police and people in control,” said Kelly. “We also have physical signs that we put in place, flags if you want, to show you, here are the limits of this specific entertainment district this time.”
Currently, the Entertainment District is based on events only and operates the first Friday of each month during the Conway Art Marche.
“The goal is to see how it works and perhaps grow to the rate it should grow,” added Kelly.
The place also excited the city.
“I think it’s going to be great for the city. I think the city of Conway needed a pleasant, pleasant and clean place to have a lot of fun … especially on weekends. Friday evenings, especially,” said Ken Blake, Conway.
He has companies like the Rour-Point rowing while awaiting the future impatiently.
“We were definitely full. We saw at least a 30% bump in business,” said the owner of the Royou roundabout, Chris Smith.
Smith said it was particularly careful to have this in a dry county.
“Being an owner, operator of a brewery, see this as an excellent opportunity for us to have a more important footprint where we can sell and exempt,” he said. “I just think it’s a good thing for my business and all the other private clubs in the city, inside the entertainment district, should have the opportunity and will now have the opportunity to do so.”
The next planned event will take place on April 4.
