The city encourages residents to support local companies affected by the water crisis

Richmond, Virginie (WWBT) – The city of Richmond encourages residents to buy locally from companies affected by the water crisis at the beginning of the month.

The city of Richmond and small partner companies and restaurants have appointed the period from January 24 to 31 as the Water Recovery Week.

“Small local businesses play a very important role in what makes Richmond one of the best places to live, work or visit. This week, I ask the residents of Richmond, if they can join me to support their restaurant, coffee, lounge or other favorite local business, “said Mayor Danny Avula. “By working together as much as possible, we can all help our small local businesses and their staff to recover. I hope to see you when I will be on the go!

Residents and business owners can share their participation and encouragement on social networks using the hashtag #letitflowrva.

Richmonders and residents of the whole region can kick off Let flow: Water recovery week by visiting one of the restaurants participating in the 8th edition Vegetable food week Until Sunday, January 26.

The City also plans to announce more information on the efforts of the recovery fund for residents as soon as logistics and final capacity are established.
