The CAA male butt championship begins Thursday afternoon
Towson, md. (April 30, 2025) – The four-team field is set and the action is fast approaching while Towson, Fairfield, Drexel and Hofstra will participate in the semi-final of the Male CAA 2025 Male Championship Thursday at the Towson campus.
The Tigers (9-5, 7-0) compete against pride (8-6, 4-3) at 4 p.m. while the stags (12-2, 5-2) face the dragons (7-7, 4-3) a few hours later at 7 p.m. from the Johnny Unitas stadium. Tournament games will broadcast on Lacrossetv and air simultaneously on flocollege.

Towson and Hofstra compete in a revenge match of the regular season final. Towson came out in the lead in the match, 9-7, extending his sequence of victories on Hofstra with three.
Tigers have two of the hottest attackers in the conference and have the recognition to prove it. The offensive player of the CAA year, Mikey Weisshaar, leads the CAA in goals per game (3.00), and points per game (4.23), among others, while the recruit of the CAA year, Ronan Fitzpatrick, ranks third from the conference with 2.46 goals per game. Head coach Shawn Nadelen was also elected as co-ACA coach of the year for his efforts in the publication of another unbeaten conference season.
Hofstra took a hot start and continued its shape before the CAA championship. The first -year phenomenon Shea Kennedy was superb in the pride cage, granting a third in the 10.39 goals of 10.39 against the conference, while its percentage of safeguard of .542 is second in the CAA. Hofstra was recognized with three of his players appointed to a team from the ACAA.
Fairfield and Drexel have been competing for the first time since March 22 after the Stags went out in the lead, 12-11, to continue his unbeaten start to the season of nine games.
In the middle of his best season of all time, the stags are led by the co-caa coach of the year Andrew Baxter and the defensive player of the year Julian Radossich. Fairfield finished with 12 victories over the season to equalize a program record established in 2012 and equaled in 2014. Fairfield concluded the unbeaten season at home for the first time in the history of the program (excluding a shortened campaign in 2020 due to COVID-19). Radossich anchored a defense of the best conference that enabled a CAA-Bas-Bas 125 goals, while individually displaying a career summit 41 has caused reversals this season.
After starting the 1-2 conference slate, the dragons reconstructed three consecutive victories to run his season and catapult him in assertion in the playoffs. Steven Boyle’s program is in the first four in most of the best statistical categories in the CAA, including the publication of a +1.5 score margin throughout its 15 games. Individually, the Dragons have three members of the All-Caa Second team with Max Semple, Jack Joyner and Collin Gucwa who all win a place.
Thursday semi-final competition winners will compete for the title of CAA on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. on the Towson campus. The game will broadcast live on Lacrossetv and Flocollege.
