Valley City (VCSU) – The Valley City State University Commerce Department has acquired accreditation for its business administration program of the International Accreditation Council for Commercial Education (IACBE).
The Council of Commissioners of the IACBE of its April meeting granted a first commercial accreditation specialized to VCSU for its Baccalaureate in Sciences with a major in business administration. The VCSU Business Administration Major currently offers concentrations in four different areas: agro-industry, human resources and management, accounting and managerial finance and marketing.
“This accreditation confirms that our business department provides high-quality education and prepares our graduates in the workforce,” said VCSU president Alan Lafave. “Congratulations to the president of the Tammy Katuin department and to the entire business department for obtaining this prestigious recognition. It is the validation of excellence displayed by our teachers, our staff and our students. ”
Accreditation is good until April 2032 and was won after the VCSU demonstrated compliance with the IACBE accreditation principles by a rigorous self-evaluation process and the independent peer exam.
“We are incredibly proud to receive this accreditation from IACBE,” said Tammy Katuin, president of the VCSU business department. “This reflects our commitment to providing high level education that allows students to skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the business world. This success testifies to the hard work and the dedication of our faculty, our staff and our students. ”
In addition, IACBE noted that the Department of Affairs of the VCSU has shown a commitment to continuous improvement, excellence in commercial education and to advance academic quality in its programs and commercial operations.
IACBE was founded in 1997 and is recognized nationally by the Higher Education Accreditation Council (CHEA). IACBE is the leader in programmatic accreditation focused on mission and based on results in business and businesses for colleges, universities and other higher education establishments, the main objective of which is excellence in teaching and learning.
