A Translink bus crashed into a front courtyard in Surrey, British Columbia Tuesday morning after trying to avoid a collision with another vehicle.
Surrey police said the accident occurred around 5:15 a.m. at the intersection of 132 Street and 88 avenue.
The out -of -service bus was heading north on 132 Street when it almost collided with a vehicle heading west of 88 avenue, according to the police. To avoid an accident, the bus swerved on the sidewalk, overturned a floor lamp before finding accommodation in the bushes of the corner courtyard.

One person was treated by paramedical paramedics on the scene for minor injuries.
The tracks north of rue 132 were briefly closed while the police were investigating, the bus was recovered and the post was removed from the Hydro-Hydro threads from British Columbia on which it had fallen.
Transit Metro Vancouver police are now investigating and do not believe that speed or disability were accident factors.
