Burnley city center was alive with music, energy and community spirit during the weekend of banking holidays while Burnley Live 2025 delivered a festival filled with entertainment.

From Friday to Sunday, places of the city organized a wide range of live acts – tribute groups and DJs with acoustic sets and family events – with a single last night of karaoke to put the festival at an end this evening (Monday, May 5).

Organized by Discover Burnley in partnership with more than 20 local sites, the annual event once again highlighted the flourishing music scene of the city and its ability to bring together a buzzing weekend for all ages.

The festival was launched Friday evening with karaoke sessions at the large window, the Dyche Royale and the lawn, while music lovers also attended a free workshop to organize musical events in Burnley Mechanics Theater.

The Fleetwood Bac tribute group occurred in the same place later in the evening, with other acts playing Real Food Hall, The Inn On The Wharf, Smackwater Jacks, The Loom and Remedy Gin Bar.

On Saturday, the city center is buzzing with live music and street entertainment. The craft market has returned to St James’ Street with live music by Tommy O’Neill, while northern Dholis brought a pace to Walk charter.

Burnley Market attracted families with live struggle, and Isabella Withnell played brunch without Ellis background.

On the main scene of rue Ormerod, crowds appreciated old habits, atmosphere, skifull and more.

Sunday’s programming included Soul Gravy, Roadkill Revival and the atmosphere occurring on the main scene.

Acts also continued in places, notably Hatters Craft Bar, Hidden, The Swan, The Palazzo, The Big Window, The Royal Dyche, The Coal Yard, M. Greens and many others.

Before the event, project director Burnley Bid, Laura Difffey, said: “Burnley Live quickly established himself as a key annual event in the city that brings people together for a long weekend of fantastic music and community spirit.

“This year, we are taking off all the stops to enlarge it and better than ever. With a diverse range and incredible sites on board, we can’t wait to see the city buzz with energy.”

Burnley Live 2025 officially ends this evening with a last karaoke event at the big window, offering a last chance for festivals to take the microphone and sing the long weekend.
