The assured ammunition team wins the prize for an exceptional business sense in defense and government | Article

Orlando, Florida – The joint executive office of the program for armaments and ammunition, in collaboration with the command of joint ammunition and the Center for the Development of Combat Capacities of the American Army, were honored with the price of General 2025 William GTTTLE JR. for exceptional ACUMEN cases in defense and government.

The assured ammunition team was officially recognized during the 39th Annual Forum of Annual Logistics of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) on February 11 in Orlando, Florida.

The Institute for Defense and Business has selected the munition team provided for its innovative approach to mitigate the risks of the supply chain within the only manager for the conventional ammunition portfolio. The team, made up of experts from several organizations, has developed a complete strategy to map the ammunition supply chain, identify vulnerabilities and implement attenuation efforts to ensure the availability of critical materials.

By taking advantage of advanced automatic learning tools, they analyzed data from more than 300 final elements and thousands of materials, rationalizing the monitoring of the supply chain and improving response times for material and material and suppliers.

To protect domestic production capacities, the team obtained $ 220 million in funding from the Defense III production production law to restore sources of supply for key energy materials. In addition, $ 1.4 billion in JPEO A&A funding were allocated to improve the ability of the organic industrial base to produce explosives and propergols. Thanks to partnerships with the Defense Logistics Agency, the team has obtained national stocks of critical explosive equipment and used innovative research funding for small businesses to fill the emerging shortcomings of the supply chain.

The army leaders and the stakeholders of the congress congratulated the team of ammunition provided for having proactively met the challenges of the supply chain and guarantee the long -term maintenance of the industrial base of American ammunition. Their data -based approach was recognized as a resilience model of the supply chain through the Ministry of Defense.

This achievement testifies to the power of collaborative innovation and the sustainable impact of targeted investment in our industrial database. While we continue to sail in an increasingly complex and dynamic global landscape, the remarkable work of the assured ammunition team is a brilliant example of the essential role that the strategic management of the supply chain plays in the safeguard of our nation’s security and prosperity. “”

The Tuttle Award, appointed according to General William GTTLE JR., distinguishes individuals and teams that show an exceptional business sense in defense and government operations. The work of the assured ammunition team has established a new standard for the resilience of the supply chain, guaranteeing the continuous availability of critical ammunition to support the efforts of preparation and modernization of the army.

JPEO A & A and Devcom Armaments Center have its headquarters in Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. Together, they play an essential role in the development, purchase and implementation of advanced armaments and ammunition, ensuring the preparation and modernization of the American army and its international partners.
