Access to quality health care is only one of the factors that contribute to the health of a population. Other factors such as health behaviors, the physical environment and socio-economic factors are more powerful predictors of health, disease and the use of health care over time.
For this reason, the needs assessment report focuses on social health engines, using the Well-being wallet as a framework for the LVHN community health strategy. This holistic framework incorporates services that meet urgent needs (such as acute care for illness or injuries and assistance to meet the basic needs of food and refuge) and long -term investment to guarantee that all people have what they need to prosper.
In this sense, the well-being portfolio describes seven vital conditions for health and well-being: the basic needs of health and safety, lifelong learning, significant work and wealth, human housing, a flourishing natural world, reliable transport and belonging and civic muscles. While we have evaluated the health needs of the inhabitants of the county, we considered the role of health care by meeting both urgent needs and wider vital conditions which contribute to the health of individuals and families in the region.
