The Agency generated a record audience for Show time And Paramount+. Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios announced Dec. 4 that the spy thriller attracted 5.1 million multiplatform viewers worldwide after its Nov. 29 debut, making it the most-streamed new series of all time. Given this, it’s no surprise that this ratings announcement is accompanied by a season 2 renewal. Season 1, meanwhile, won’t air its finale until January.

A new version of the critically acclaimed French drama The Legends Office, The Agency follows Martian (Michael Fassbender), a covert CIA agent, was ordered to abandon his life of undercover and return to London Station. When the love he left behind reappears (Jodie Turner Smith like Samia), romance is reborn. Her career, her true identity, and her mission clash with her heart, plunging them both into a deadly game of intrigue and international espionage.

The Legends Office is centered on the daily life and missions of agents within France’s main external security service. It focuses on the “Bureau des Légendes”, responsible for training and supervising undercover agents for long-term missions in areas of French interest. Living under false identities for years, these agents’ mission is to identify and recruit good intelligence sources. The series has been hailed as an intriguing and unique look at a rarely seen side of spy stories: the emotional cost of living a life of intense secrecy and danger. These emotional reflections also serve as critical comments on organizations like the CIA.

The all-star cast also includes Jeffrey Wright, Richard Geré, Catherine Waterston, John MagaroAlex Reznik, Andrew Brooke, Harriet Sansom Harris, India Fowler, Saura Lightfoot-Leonand Reza Brojerdi, with Dominica West And Hugues Bonneville as guest stars. The recurring stars are Adam Nagaitis, Ambreen Razia, Bilal Hasna, David Harwood, Kurt EgyiawanRay BLK, Sabrina Wuand Tom Vaughan-Lawlor. George Clooney is executive producer.
