The people of our rapidly moving society rediscover the simple pleasures of an old hobby, the art of narration. The organizers of narration events claim that the constant growth movement has societal advantages beyond simple entertainment.
In big cities like Chicago and Houston, and in small towns like Essex, New York, people gathered in public circles to tell stories, an activity recently reinforced by poetry readings and open microphone stories such as The Moth Radio Hour.


Thanks to consumer lawyer Alex Clark de Plattsburgh, New York, history rallies have reached Clinton County. Clark says that after the pandemic interrupted the alliances he had made for his plea, he lost his confidence to speak in front of people. But in 2022, the narration events he discovered in the county of Essex helped him take up this confidence. In 2024, he organized events celebrating the art of narration in Plattsburgh, creating a monthly space for people to disclose, captivate and connect. Clark says that the producer of Spotlight Paul Larson on the many advantages narration events.


You must be at least 21 to attend the narration evenings at Plattsburgh. Speay-speazytelling tales is produced by Bell Fire Collective Arts. History evenings start at 7:00 am on the second Wednesday of each month at Old Soul Design Shop in Plattsburgh, located at 124 Margaret Street. The next one is Wednesday March 13.
