The Elmhurst University has announced an important philanthropic gift that will establish the first president of the teaching school endowed with the university in science, technology, analysis and mathematics.
Anonymous donors, a couple married to links with the university, have established a inheritance commitment of $ 1.5 million to create the fitted chair, which, you hope, “will help attract and preserve brilliant researchers” in science and mathematics.
Donors want their donation to highlight the importance of faculty research, which, at Elmhurst, generally understands students, as well as the role of excellent teaching in the school experience of students and long -term career objectives.

One of the donors is a former student graduate of Elmhurst with an economy diploma, and the two donors have had careers linked to STEMs for a long time and distinguished, joining their areas – biotechnology and health care analysis – in their nascence.
As a student, the two donors have been influenced by great teachers and hope that their gift will help guarantee that future generations of students are also inspired.

Once funded, the chair endowed would be awarded a member of the School of Science, Technology and Mathematics faculty.
