For the third time only since 2000, the athletics department of the University of Tennessee finished second in USA today Dry All-Sports Title Race. The flights and Lady Flights ranked second in Texas, ending the three -year sequence of Tennessee as the first global sports program of the conference.
The Tennessee won its first three Dry All-Sports titles for the university years 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24. The Big Orange has only become the second school in the history of the League to win three consecutive titles, after Florida.
“Although we are disappointed not to have won our fourth consecutive title in Sec All-Sports, ending as a finalist in the largest and most competitive country league is still a remarkable testimony to the strength of our athletics department,” said the vice-chancellor / director of athletics Danny White.
The champion is determined on the basis of a point system designed by the USA Today network that rewards the total highest points according to the number of teams per sport competitor For the regular conference season championships.
Texas captured first place with 179.75 points, followed by Tennessee (149.5), Texas A&M (148.25) and Florida (148).
Second place has solidified the most successful four-year race in Tennessee in the history of the Dry All-Sports reigning race.
