Technological company to establish manufacturing operations in Bay County

Panama City, Florida (WJHG / WECP) – A technological company flies into Bay County and seeks to contribute to our local growth aviation center.

Oxford Technologies Corporation, a company based in Connecticut, is a key contributor to Sikorsky Aircraft and plans to develop an abrasion strip for the blade of Rotor Black Hawk in an installation by New Bay County.

“We are going to be a defense manufacturing entrepreneur here in Bay County, which specifically makes the Black Hawk Edge abrasion band for rotor blades. This is one of the other articles in the highest industry for the army, and we are happy to be able to provide these defense jobs in Bay County, “said Jake Stearns, Vice-President Oxford Technologies Corp.

The company will rent a manufacturing factory currently existing in the Original Bay Industrial Park located on motorway 231.

The Bay EDA revealed “Project Amadeus” at a meeting on Tuesday morning and their plan to provide 40 jobs and a capital investment of more than $ 7.5 million.

Managers hope to see a mutually beneficial relationship between the county and the company.

The CEO of OXFORD Technologies Corporation said they are establishing new operations in our region due to the expansion engineering programs of FSU PC, GSCC and Haney Technical College.

The company will also associate with FSU PC by participating in the new Inspire initiative which is developed in ECP.
