TDEM announces a new head of operations technology division
The Texas Emergency Management Division (TDEM) has announced today the promotion of Sam Miller to the chief of division operations technology.
Chef Miller joined TDEM in 2013 and served in various operations technology capacities in the past 12 years, during which he has helped to advance the agency’s capacities. He has directed efforts in the development of applications, support for technology in the field and the implementation of key systems that support the response to disasters throughout the state. Many tools and processes used today in the emergency management operations in Texas bear the mark of its leadership and technical expertise
“Sam’s in -depth expertise and regular leadership have contributed to modernizing the way we react to disasters in Texas,” said the chief of emergency management in Texas, Nim Kidd. “His commitment to the public service and innovation has motivated many of the successes of our agency. We are proud to have this critical division direct. ”
Before joining Tdem, chef Miller worked as a developer of the Southwest Regional Advisory Council as part of Texas Webeoc Interoperability Project. He also occupied several roles in the Arkansas emergency management department. With more than 20 years of emergency management experience, it brings a richness of knowledge and a strong commitment to the public service.
In addition, TDEM announced the promotion of Dorian Davis to the chief of operations technology. He had recently been chief operations technology and joined TDEM in 2014. Davis played a decisive role in improving the agency’s operational preparation and provides a richness of expertise and in -depth institutional knowledge to his new role.
