Tamara Keith, national public radio:

Well, as we know, President Trump announced this on Wednesday. Even on the basis of public declarations, we know that a decision was not finalized on Tuesday afternoon.

It was therefore not a well -planned deployment. Since then, there has been a lot of reaction. But there are some underlying and also contradictory messages. One is the idea that President Trump is this great traffic and that he will get offers. Today, he has put more in the blood circulation.

He had Prime Minister Netanyahu in the oval office and talked about things that Netanyahu was going to do for the United States. He talks about speaking in Japan and other countries and everyone wants an agreement. Then, at the same time, he also says that he does not want to give time for offers to take place. He wants these prices in place now.

He says that the United States-It is an excellent opportunity for the United States to reset the table on the world economy and world trade and that it will be painful, but it is the man who can take pain.

Now there is pain to do; 62% of Americans have scholarship money directly or indirectly. And I think it is sort of the political challenge that the president is confronted. Because he takes all the positions, it is not clear exactly where it goes. It is not clear for the markets where it goes.

And so far, there has not been a time when the president sits with the American people and says: OK, this is our policy. There will be sacrifices. I understand that. You have to understand this. We must all come together as Américans and accept these sacrifices which, in theory, should happen for him to resist what could be months or years of agitation.
