Stadtwerke ULM / NEU-ULM GMBH (SWU) German (SWU) has launched a data center in ULM Science Park in ULM, Germany.
The company said its data center offers a space for 150 cabinets on 1,430 m² (15,400 square feet). It will also operate with a stinking value of less than 1.3 and has 1.6 MW of generation of backup diesel.
Other specifications have not been shared.
The construction of the installation started in September 2023.
It was built in order to offer digital infrastructure to companies, institutions and public organizations in the region. It is located near the emergence “campus for artificial intelligence” (Kicu),
SWU said that the installation will operate on 100% green energy from renewable sources generated internally by hydroelectric power plants and a photovoltaic system on site.

SWU is a conglomerate of companies providing electricity, gas, water, heat and telecommunications services in the cities of ULM and Neu Ulm in Germany.
Its existing data center is located in Stuttgart and offers 617 m² (6,652 square feet) of data center space.
