THE Oilers The goalkeeper will start on Tuesday in the 6 game of the Stanley Cup final against Florida panthers with Edmonton facing elimination in the NHL Series titles.
“Know really that I have the confidence of my teammates and coaches staff,” Skinner said after the morning skate.
“There is obviously a lot of belief.”
Skinner was fired in match 4 after granting three goals on 17 shots in the first period. Calvin Pickard took over and made 22 stops the rest of the 5-4 victory in oilers.
The veteran companion obtained the net in match 5, abandoning four goals on 18 shots in the Florida 5-2 victory which moved the panthers in a victory for the second victory of the team of the team’s cup after dominating Edmonton in seven last June.
“It may seem weird … I felt like I was playing well,” said Skinner about Match 4. “But sometimes it happens. It’s just life. Especially as a goalkeeper, it can sometimes be difficult.”
The Edmonton product is 7-3 in these qualifying series with a percentage of stops of .891 and an average of goals to 2.99 goals.
Oilers should make two other programming changes, with winger Kasperi Kapanen for Viktor Arvidsson and John Klingberg who adapt to Troy Stecher in Defense.

Match 7, if necessary, would be Friday in Edmonton.
Kapanen, who attended match 5, scored three goals and three assists for six points in 11 games in this post-season.
“Can participate in the head, can play,” said head coach Kris Knoblauch.
“When it is composed, he is a very good hockey player.”
Klingberg returns to the scrum after sitting on matches 4 and 5.
Knoblauch added that he expects the striker Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, who missed Monday training and the Tuesday ice session with an unknown injury, to play in match 6.
Skinner, meanwhile, was also put on the bench in the first round with Edmonton Down 2-0 to the Kings of Los Angeles. Pickard took over and won six consecutive departures before injuring himself in match 2 of the second round against the Golden Knights in Vegas, who opened the door to Skinner.
“He has done so for many consecutive years now,” said Leon Draisaitl at the center of the Oilers about Skinner. “We went to match 7 in the Stanley Cup final last year. He was incredible in the playoffs. He had incredible matches this year. There is just a factor of trust that we know that he can do the job for us.
“He was incredible in the first period (of match 4) … It was we who dropped him. We fully believed in him.”
The Oilers Adam Henrique striker was impressed by Skinner’s mental makeup and the ability to bounce back.
“It is a position filled with pressure,” he said. “We have talked a lot about emotions throughout the season and the playoffs and the quantity of roller coaster that it can be. And in this position, even more.
“He always seems to be calm, cool, collected.”
Skinner supported Edmonton for serial victories on the stars of Vegas Golden Knights and Dallas to help the Oilers reach their second consecutive final.
“Sta has been in many high -pressure matches,” Knoblauch said. “You watch the number of elimination games in which he played – I think there were six last year – and each match in which he played was really solid, if not spectacular performances.
“When the season is at stake, we have a lot of self -confidence.”
