Star Wars: Kotor remake receives the update of Saber Interactive Exec

News surrounding the Star Wars: Remake Knights of the Old Republic (Kotor) has been dark since his announcement at 2021 PlayStation Showcase. Aspyr Media had to develop the game, but these tasks moved to Interactive saber on a tumultuous development cycle. Although the reports do not seem in favor of the Remake version, a new declaration by Saber Interactive CCO Tim Willits suggests that it is still in development.

In a recent article on X (via Initiate game), Willits declares that “everything” which has been announced publicly is still in development. Although the remake of Star Wars: Kotor is not explicitly mentioned in this declaration, it strongly implies that it is still in active development because the remake had a formal revelation.

The last time there was information on the remake of Star Wars: Kotor, things seemed dark for the planned game. It was reported by the journalist and initiated of video games Jeff Grubb Sony Interactive Entertainment has lost any interest in PS5 exclusivity. The rumors and leaks that preceded it were just as calamites. The studio initially developed the project two of its directors, then embrace Group suffered from a financial crisis which saw it unloading a bunch of studios and IPS.

Although this Willit Declaration brings a glimmer of hope to the remake of Star Wars: Kotor, it is always uncertain when and if it will be released in the near future. We will just have to wait and see what Saber Interactive has to say when they “have something cool to share”.
