The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development should announce Wednesday that it moves into the headquarters of the National Science Foundation in Alexandria, Virginia, according to the union representing NSF employees.
But Tuesday evening, the staff of Science Foundation had not been informed by the management of the incoming occupants of their building, leaving them blind and uncertain to know where they should work.
An NSF employee said they had “literally zero” an idea “that this decision was going to come until reports are starting to circulate among staff members on Tuesday evening. This person has obtained anonymity because he fears reprisals.
Jesus Soriano, president of the Union, which represents the employees of the NSF, said that he expected a press conference on Wednesday morning in the NSF lobby, including the secretary of the HUD Scott Turner and the republican governor of Virginie Glenn Youngkin. Soriano said he had been informed of the NSF employees.
