
Stacy Mitz, main associate vice-president of university advancement, was appointed Milwaukee Business Journal List of influential women. The list pays tribute to the main business and community leaders in southeast Wisconsin who make the Milwaukee region a better place to live and work.
Mitz played a main role by helping to motivate the largest complete fundraising campaign in the history of the university, Climbing time: Marquette promise is the differencewhich has considerably stimulated scholarships and resources across campus. It’s time to get up A exceeded $ 800 million in funds raised in eight years, exceeding its target of $ 750 million.
She played a main role in collecting funds that have in particular helped students in significant need. When the famous McCormick Hall of Marquette was demolished, Mitz led a very successful micro-campaign where the donors gave $ 82,000 to the “backpack program” of the university. The funds have revitalized the backpack program, which provides grocery products and other basic products to help more than one in five marquette who declares in the face of food insecurity.
In addition to the backpack program, Mitz played a main role by helping to revitalize a fund to help students fight against circumstances that change their lives in the heart of the pandemic.

The winners of this year will be honored during a prize ceremony event on Wednesday, June 18 and in a special section of the Milwaukee commercial newspaper Released on Friday June 20.
