Rutland, vt. (WCAX) – A showcase of sports card making a return to the city of Marble.

Members of the Rutland Moose Lodge, exchanged and exchanged baseball, basketball and other sports cards on Saturday morning, all collecting funds against a local adolescent.

The chaplain of the Will Tyler group says that one of its former students of the school in the village of Castleton was paralyzed after a car accident with a drunk driver in 2023.

Tyler says he wanted to use his passion for life for sports and cards to exchange to give a helping hand.

“I certainly connected with him, I spent a lot of time with him and I just wanted to help him, I know his family well enough, he had some brothers who played baseball for me,” said Tyler. “Sports are a great way to teach a lot of good life lessons and I also like to help young people, so it’s just a big event and a fun thing to do.”

Tyler says he hopes to start organizing more shows twice a year in the future.
