Rutland, vt. (WCAX) – Car drivers gathered in Rutland to test their skills against the clock.
The Vermont Sports Car Club organized one of its many coach races on Saturday morning near Diamond Run Mall.
The drivers and their cars burned rubber around a track, looking for the best moment of the day.
Cars of all shapes and sizes are welcome to test their skills, which drivers say they are a way to bond between the community.
“It is a truly accepting environment, it is one of the things that attracted me to the coach from the start. People with rich vehicles with a bunch of experience and budget will be perfectly happy to chat with someone with a Volvo from 1988 just like, so it’s inclusive all around, generally a fairly friendly group of people. ” Paul Dudley of Fayston said.
The club also organizes time trials in New Hampshire, New York and on ice during the winter.
