It is estimated that 6 million cases of skin cancer are diagnosed in the United States each year.
The South Bend Clinic presents what it calls significant progress in the treatment of skin cancer.
It is a superficial radiation guided by the image, used to treat non -surgical non -melanoma cancers.
The clinic organized a ribbon cut last night to mark this important step in terms of treatment.
WSBT spoke with Todd Rozycki, Mohs dermatologist and surgeon at the South Bend Clinic.
“And therefore in our region, we are the first to offer this superficial radiotherapy guided by the image … And we think that the options are always good when you are dealing with something as scary as treating skin cancer or everything that affects your health,” explains Rozycki.
Alternative treatment has a success rate of more than 99%.
