This prestigious honor comes after a year filled with historical achievements and remarkable performance in a variety of sports.

San José State Football made the headlines with an exciting 34-31 victory against Stanford inside the Cefcu stadium to close the regular season to make his third consecutive appearance in the Bowl match, marking an important stage in the history of the program. In addition, the Spartans won the highly coveted NACDA Community Service Prize, awarded by the Fiesta Bowl, recognizing their exceptional contributions to the community.
The athletics program also shone in 2024. Emilia Sjostrand Won several All-America honors at the NCAA outdoor championships, finishing third in the triple jump and collected several honors in All-American at the NCAA 2025 room championships in long and triple jumping events. The women’s gymnastics team had a formidable first year of competition in the West mountains in 2024, winning a place in the regional region of NCAA Berkeley. The Spartans were selected as one of the 36 teams on the field with a national qualification score (NQS) of 196.555.
