SGMC Health invests $ 7.8 million in advanced upgrades to improve patient care

Last week, SGMC Health began a progressive installation of more than 300 new patients of patients on its campuses. The investment of $ 7.8 million in the Centerlla® Smart + hospital beds highlights the unwavering commitment of the system to raise the safety and care of patients while optimizing the experience and efficiency of the personnel.

The new “intelligent” beds, known for their cutting -edge characteristics, are equipped with advanced technology aimed at preventing patient falls and pressure injuries, while providing monitoring capacities for effective patients. These features contribute to creating a safer environment for patients and rationalizing workflows for health care providers.

Cherise Giddens, vice-president and director of nursing from SGMC Health, expressed her enthusiasm for the project, declaring: “This investment testifies to our dedication to providing exceptional health services. By integrating advanced technology into our patient care environments, we aim to improve safety, comfort and overall experience for our patients, while supporting our staff with tools that promote efficiency and excellence in providing care. »»

This upgrade of the bed is part of the wider strategy of SGMC Health to continuously improve equipment, technology and infrastructure. It completes the expansion in the process of $ 150 million on the campus, which includes the development of a new tower of women and infants, an emergency and trauma and complete redesign center of the campus to improve the accessibility and experience of patients.

SGMC Health is the most complete health system serving southern Georgia and northern Florida. SGMC Health operates four hospitals in the counties of Lowndes, Berrien and Lanier. The system also operates Ambulance Services, a large network of medical offices, a cancer center, a palliative care establishment, a retirement center, a qualified nursing establishment, imaging centers and urgent care. Regional prominence service lines include heart and vascular, brain vascular accidents, trauma, cancer, surgery, women and infants.
