Nacogdoches, Texas (Ketk) – Stephen F. Austin State University will soon house a new agricultural engineering and technology building.
The Council of Regents of the University of Texas system approved additional $ 5 million to the $ 80 million already allocated to SFA, supporting the addition of the agricultural building next to the agricultural building of the Arthur temple.

“This approval is an essential step to advance our commitment to providing high-quality practical and practical education to students in some of the most vital industries in Texas and beyond,” said Dr. Neal Weaver, president of SFA .
The project will include integrated technology classrooms, research laboratories, student resource areas and teacher office spaces. The 16,990 square feet building will offer improved practical training possibilities for students pursuing careers in agriculture and related industries.

“The addition of agricultural engineering and the construction of technologies will offer students the technical skills necessary to meet the challenges of the modern agricultural landscape, ensuring that SFA graduates are well prepared to lead in this dynamic field”, Dr. Hans Williams, Dean, Dean, Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture, said.
The new forest and agricultural buildings should be completed in 2027.
