(CNN) – We can certainly tell you how to arrive at “Sesame Street”.
It was announced on Monday that the popular longtime children’s program found a new house at Netflix.
“For more than half a century,” Sesame Street “has been a beloved cornerstone of children’s media, enchanted young minds and nourishing the love of learning,” said a press release. “Now Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, and all their friends come to Netflix later this year, with the brand new 56th reinvented season of Sesame Street – plus 90 hours of previous episodes – available for the public in the world.”
The news comes from Warner Bros. Discovery, CNN’s parent company, has chosen not to renew its contract to broadcast the series on max (Back to the name HBO Max.)
“The new season will offer fresh format changes and the return of favorite fans like Elmo’s World and Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck,” said the streamer. “In addition, the episodes will now focus on an 11 -minute story, allowing a humor and a heart even more focused on the characters.”
The series will always be available on PBS. President Donald Trump Recently signed an executive decree to end federal funding for PBS and NPR.
