Doctoral students of research on health services and professors of the Department of Administration and Policy of the Health Department (HAP) of the College of Public Health of George Mason University presented their research to 2025 Annual Research Academy (ARM)Hold from June 7 to 10 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

As the country’s first forum for health services research, Academyhealth The annual research meeting brings together researchers and health system chiefs to examine how policy, payment and technology affect the cost, access and quality of care.
HAP doctoral students and teachers have delivered a range of presentations, covering the professional exhaustion of health workers, digital health interventions and Medicare policy. Their participation highlights HAP’s commitment to applied research, interdisciplinary collaboration and the impact of the real world.
The presenter of doctoral students, Ge Song, thought about her experience during the conference, where she presented her recent research on the use of circadian models in vital signs to improve the prediction of hospital mortality:
“Presentation of my results at 2025 Academy The annual research meeting was an enriching experience. I had the opportunity to connect with clinical researchers who have proposed thoughtful suggestions, in particular around clinical interpretation and modeling, which will shape the next phase of my analysis. »»
Yiwen Li shared his point of view as a first -year doctoral student:
“To assist Academy Arm 2025 was a wonderful experience. During my session, I was honored to present our evaluation of the Wecare 2.0 results and to share how digital health interventions adapted to culture can support caregivers of poorly served family dementia. Beyond my own session, I also learned a lot from other presentations by focusing on innovative models and methods of care about health disparities, especially among the populations of aging, minorities and high needs. »»
Why it matters
Presentation Academy is an essential element in the progress of the health services research field. He reflects the mission of the Mason Health Services Doctoral Research Program to train future researchers who can generate evidence and effectively communicate results to improve the service and health care policy. By presenting research in person, HAP students, teachers and former students are involved with national opinion leaders, favorable interdisciplinary collaborations and shape health systems.
“By presenting itself in person to share our work, the HAP department contributes to an increasing field which aims to improve access to health services and, in turn, to the well-being of families and individuals,” said Gilbert GimmDirector of the health services doctoral program program. “It is also a fun way to create new connections and potential collaborations.”
