Caglianone has crashed since he was drafted by the Royals in the first round of the MLB 2024 draft of Florida. Through Double-A and Triple-A this year, he strikes .323 with an OPS of .991. Caglianone also reached 15 hours and drives in 56 points in 49 minor league games this season.

The move attracted the attention of the quarter-arre of the heads of Kansas City Patrick Mahomes:
The Royals are an organization that puts a bonus on the defense of the outside field. But they also need field players who can strike. Kansas City field players have experienced difficulties in the past two seasons and Hunter Renfroe has recently been appointed for assignment after posting a .483 OPS on 35 games. Drew Waters has been the best aerobatic of the team so far this season and he only posted one .703 OPS on 43 games.
Despite the offensive difficulties, the Royals are only two games on the second in the Central of the American League thanks to a pitch staff which was one of the best in baseball. Kansas City did the playoffs a season a season ago and beat Baltimore Orioles in the Jokers tour before losing against New York Yankees in the divisional series.
