Robertson Hat Trick leads the stars to 4-3 victories on Oilers – Edmonton

Jason Robertson recently accelerated his production for Dallas stars.

The 25-year-old striker recorded a natural hat round of the second period while the stars won their third consecutive match and left with a 4-3 victory on the Edmonton Oilers Despite an attempt to return to the end of the team at home on Wednesday.

“At the end of the day, we won, this is the best part,” said Robertson after his team took a 4-0 lead in the third period and held the iles who were badly injured, Captain Connor McDavid and the star attacker Leon Draisaitl.

“It was one of the few times in recent weeks when we had a big lead in the third period and I would not say that we removed the foot of the gas, but we had penalty trouble, then their crowd became alive and their players started to feel it. We were able to survive, but we certainly do not want to repeat this.”

Robertson has been carrying out the NHL in goals since January 1 with 23 and also leads the stars this season with 32.

“He had a slow start in the season. He suffered an out of season and it was without weight, so he could really do nothing,” said head coach Pete Deboer. “So, he really didn’t put his legs under him before almost Christmas, and I think that once he is healthy and has caught up, you now see what he is capable of doing.

“Now he’s on the pace of that moment to be this 100-point guy and 40 goals he is.”

Robertson has also become the sixth player in the history of the franchise to record three seasons of 30 goals at 25 or under.

The Californian played major junior hockey for the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League and Niagara Icedogs and was drafted by Dallas 39th in the general classification in 2017.

Wyatt Johnston also scored and Roope Hintz collected three assists on Wednesday for the stars (46-21-4) which went 4-0-2 in their last six games.

Hintz says Robertson culminates at the right time with 11 games to play in the regular season and that the stars ranked second in the central division.

“It was really good now and gets a chance to score,” said Hintz. “But everyone knows that he can score goals and it’s good for our team and (hope) that he can continue.”

Dallas goalkeeper Jake Oettinger, who made 42 stops for the victory, said he expected Robertson to look at his shape.

“Just his Hockey IQ is through the roof,” said Oettinger. “He is a rink rat, he wants to shoot the goalkeepers every day, wants to learn to score on the guards, what we are looking to take away and what we abandon and all that.

Robertson’s game was a plus, but Deboer was not satisfied with his global game of the stars in Edmonton.

“It’s a difficult league to win and I didn’t have many disappointing victories in my career, but it would be one of them,” he said. “I thought we had played a really immature and sloppy match tonight, especially in the first and third.

“It’s worrying, it’s late in the season and the playoffs are at the corner of the street. It is a worrying trend here lately.”

The stars play a second road on the road in as many nights when Dallas visits the flames of Calgary on Thursday.

Oilers also play the second from a back to Seattle against Kraken.

Edmonton Skinner’s goalkeeper left the match on Wednesday in the third period after taking a knee Mikko Rantanen at the head.

Corey Perry, Adam Henrique and Zach Hyman scored for Edmonton after the goalkeeper at Calvin Pickard.

Oilers’ head coach Kris Knoblauch said that after the match, he did not provide for Skinner to travel with the team in Seattle.
