Vince Nikolov said aCquiring Design Center of Rehoboth of its original founders, Ed Albers and Michael Cusumano, after 12 years with the company, was an incredible and enriching step.
Earlier this month, Vince assumed full ownership of DCOR, a renowned local interior design company, it has been an integral part of since 2013. With a solid educational base and a large experience in the design industry, Vince for a long time aspires to own and lead an interior design studio.
“I am deeply grateful for everything I learned from Ed and Michael,” he said. “In this company, we remain focused on solutions, not obstacles. This state of mind has shaped our culture and our continuous success. ”
Vince was born in Bulgaria, where his passion for design first took root. He began his formal education in furniture design and interior space planning, further advancing his studies at the Sofia technical university with a continuous accent on design arts. During his university years, Vince participated in a popular student exchange program, which brought it to Rehoboth Beach. At 21, he quickly fell in love with the coastal lifestyle and the dynamic charm of our community. While paying for experience thanks to various retail stations, Vince has sought opportunities to immerse himself in the local design industry. It was during this period that he interviewed Dcor, who marked the start of a significant professional trip and solidified his vision of a rooted future in the Rehoboth Beach design community.
As a new business owner, Vince recognizes the importance of being actively involved in all aspects of the growth of his business, in particular in a highly competitive industry. In addition to providing exceptional design services to its customers, it is deeply attached to the strategic expansion of DCOR. Vince is passionate about the promotion of significant connections and collaborations with professionals sharing the same ideas in design and business communities. It also emphasizes the creation of a dynamic and engaging presence on social networks, presenting DCOR’s distinctive design work through customer projects from the concept to completion.
Asked about the impact of AI on the interior design industry, Vince expresses a avant-garde perspective. He embraces his potential and thinks that it can serve as a precious tool to improve the design process by helping customers to better visualize and refine their aesthetic preferences for residential and commercial spaces. For Vince, the integration of technology represents an opportunity to raise customer engagement and enrich the overall design experience.
Vince understands that local demography plays a central role in training preferences, priorities and spending habits of residents. In communities where a large part of the properties serves as second homes or vacation, customers often approach interior decoration and put investments with a different state of mind from what they would do for their main residences. Consequently, companies operating on such markets must develop a nuanced understanding of their customers, recognizing not only what they appreciate, but also how they prefer to allocate resources to effectively adapt their services.
Having been a member of the community for over 10 years, Vince deeply appreciates the importance of cultivating significant relationships with individuals and organizations. He appreciates the opportunity to contribute to a community that constantly supports its residents and local businesses. In previous years, the Rehoboth Beach Village Association Association has undertaken the Distinguished Designer Showhouse Project. This event invited various interior designers in the region to transform one or two rooms in a selected house, taking advantage of their creativity and their expertise in the industry to present their talents. Dcor has proudly participated in this event for many years. The cabinet contributes in a similar way to the cottage tour of the Rehoboth Art League, also demonstrating its commitment to community commitment and the arts. Vince remains dedicated to promoting these collaboration efforts and is eager to continue the active role of DCOR in the enrichment of the cultural fabric of the Rehoboth beach community.
One of the enriching moments in Vince’s life was when he became an American citizen in 2017. This achievement represented a deep moment of pride and personal accomplishment. For Vince, becoming an official citizen was not only a symbolic affirmation of his commitment to the country but also a precious status. “Growing up, the United States embodied the ideal of freedom and opportunity,” explains Vince. It was deeply inspired by the idea that, thanks to hard work and determination, anyone in this country could succeed.
If Vince was to offer advice to his 18 -year -old self, he would emphasize the importance of remaining fully present and concentrated, recognizing that life passes quickly. He advises: “Pray your time on activities that really do you and bring true happiness.” DCOR customers can gain confidence in Vince’s unwavering commitment to this philosophy, because he is constantly devoting himself to ensuring their satisfaction and providing exceptional results.
