Public health expert Francis Collins on how to rebuild trust and confidence in science based on facts

While the Trump administration continues to reduce agencies related to the country’s sciences and health, research grants and access to formerly shared information, scientists and researchers fear that projects and critical advances will be interrupted. The cuts, they say, come at a time when distrust of science already hinders efforts in climate and public health.

Former National Institutes of Public Health Head Dr Francis Collins recently pronounced a main address at the Aspen Institute and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Make science conference.

Collins joins Here and nowRobin Young to describe the current challenges and some of the solutions that others believe can make the confidence of the Americans in the science of facts.
