No update on the return of 30th anniversary themes for PS5
We first spotted reports on the update on Reddit, but we have shared on sharing because we have not yet received the update on our side. However, we have since seen screenshots of new animated backgrounds and additional reports of more players.
Those who have received update now have access to animated backgrounds for games like Days Gone Remastered, Ghost of Yotei, Ghost of Tsushima, Demon’s Souls, God of War Ragnarok and Horizon Games, among others. Previously, we had only one animated theme for Astro Bot.
To check if you have received the update, just go to the Welcome Center, click on the background tab, then select “Games”. It is also worth manually checking the updates of system functionalities via the console menu. Note that these updates are distinct from the firmware updates and do not require download.
Unfortunately, there is still no word on the Return of the themes from the 30th anniversary of PlayStation For the PS5, which Sony has promised will come back at one point after the requests of the fans.
