Sony deployed a new batch of PS Plus Premium Discount Offers for January 2025, and as we expected, these are targeted offers for certain members. This means that the amount of discount one receives and the expiry date of the offer varies from recipient to recipient. Additionally, there is no criteria for who gets the discount.
PS Plus members are encouraged to take advantage of discount offers as soon as they see them
We’ve seen several reports over the past week that PS Plus Premium users are receiving up to 25% off when renewing their annual subscription ($120 instead of $160), indicating that the deal is reserved for existing subscribers. In all cases we’ve seen so far, users are nearing the end of their current subscription, so those who let their subscription expire might not be eligible either.
One of the users mentioned that they can also stack their products thanks to the 25% discount. As of this writing, we have not seen any reports of other tiers receiving discount offers.
We advise our readers to take advantage of discounts as soon as they appear on their PS app or console. PS Store. Indeed, we spotted at least two complaints from readers who said they received an offer valid until January 31, 2025, but when they took advantage of it a few days later, the offer disappeared.
We’re not sure why the offer would simply disappear, but be sure to keep an eye on your subscription page.
