Portland Ore. (KPTV) – Providence Health Plan confirmed Thursday that it released around 4% of its workforce this week.
A spokesperson says it comes after, “solid winds and challenges” throughout the past year.
A declaration of Providence Health Plan said: “Reducing administrative costs is a way to ensure that we can continue to provide high quality coverage to members and communities for future generations.”
This continued by saying that they are grateful to the caregivers affected and undertook to support them thanks to this transition.
Providence Health & Services, which includes Providence Health Plan, employs around 23,100 people in the Portland region, making it the largest employer in the region.
