Medical Holdings Prospect Announced Friday He intends to sell Crozer Health, the County Four Hospitals in Delaware, to a “non -profit consortium of health care operators”.
Senator of the state Tim Kearney, of the county of Delaware, told Whyy News that the warnings and the details should always be settled among all the negotiation parties, which include prospect, the attorney general of the State, The governor’s office and the mysterious group of contenders.
“It would be a non -profit entity that would actually manage the hospital system,” said Kearney. “We are now at a time when there is a general agreement on this subject – but again, there are always demons in detail and there are obviously money problems that must be resolved.”
The Californian company plans to request the proposed sale on Thursday from a fabrication of bankruptcy.
“It has certainly been floated that the idea that if it does not work, they will ask for an emergency closure,” said Kearney. “We all try very hard not to go”
In the press release on Friday, Prospect did not identify which parties would be part of the consortium which seeks to take over the reins of the Crozer system in distress.
“By selling Crozer Health to an experienced group of health care operators, the communities of the county of Delaware and around Delaware will continue to access and receive the critical health services they need,” said CEO de Crozer, Tony Esposito, in a press release. “We appreciate the support of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth, as well as all the parties involved, to make this transition possible.”
