Lewes, Delaware (WPVI) – Around the world, “Project Recover” seeks the seabed to discover and repatriate the missing Americans in action since the Second World War.
One of its main partners is the University of Delaware, where educators and students contribute to the cause.
They deploy an underwater technology to identify the wrecks of planes around the world wherever conflicts can have taken place.
The team contributed to the return of 17 people and plans to repatriate 26 more in the near future.
Students at the University of Delaware also have the opportunity to get involved in an internship.
