(Kron) – The Novato police service has identified three suspects in a rape case that has not been resolved since 2017.
In February 2017, the crime victim received a medical examination to possibly identify their attackers. The DNA samples taken from the examination were sent to a laboratory for analysis.

Experts could not identify suspects at the time. However, new technologies have recently enabled investigators to reopen the case.
“Progress of DNA technology since 2017 has helped to identify three suspects,” said Novato police department.
The following suspects were identified as part of the case:
-
Gilson Deleon-Gramajo, a resident of San Rafael, 33 years old (arrested)
-
Miguel Cruz Revelo, a 27-year-old Novato resident (arrested)
-
Fernando Mendoza-Cruz, a 30-year-old Novato resident (as a whole)
“Tracks were developed according to which Deleon-Gramajo was in San Rafael and was arrested last April,” said NPD. “The subsequent investigation said that Cruz Revelo was in Los Angeles. Novato PD had made help from the Fugitive Working Group of the American Marshal Service. Three days later, Cruz Revelo was located and arrested in the Los Angeles region. ”
Mendoza-Cruz probably lives in Central America and remains as a whole, said NPD. A mandate was released for his arrest. The three suspects face charges of forced rape, rape in concert and sodomy.
