In August 2023, after obtaining the diploma, Ms. Barash moved to Mr. Schwartz’s studio, and this fall, they obtained a larger place in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.
Until December 2024, Ms. Barash, 35, was the chief of staff to the chief of operation of the New York City Housing Authority and will begin to work on February 10 as principal director of strategy and management of Programs at Enterprise Community Partners, an affordable non -profit organization in Manhattan.
In March, Mr. Schwartz got on the Shabbat dinner after having recreated a darling dish, which they had at La Palina in Benshurst, Brooklyn, the day of Valentine’s Day (a major feat for someone one that is generally in dishwasher service).
On January 17, Rabbi Matt Green, the associate rabbi of the Beth Elohim congregation in Park Slope, Brooklyn, officiated during a brief legal ceremony in the Governor’s room at the Town Hall.
“It was great to go back to the place where we met for the first time and fell in love,” she said.
Two days later, during a day of windy snow, Rabbi Green led another ceremony, before 200 guests, at 99 Scott, an event space in Bushwick, Brooklyn, under a huppah, woven by the friend of Groom’s College, Lauren Williams, a weaver, in the colors of a winter sunset.
While the couple walked in the aisle, friends, including the musicians Ro Shapiro and the group’s group companion, interpreted “Let Me Roll It” by Paul McCartney & Wings, presented in “Lecurice Pizza”.
Later, the guests danced to two versions of the Hora – Chubby Checker’s Hava Nagila And one with a rock surf atmosphere by Party at Meshugga beach.
