The Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra, along with the Tehachapi Symphony Choir under the direction of Sandy Adams and the Antelope Valley Master Chorale under the direction of David Newby, presented their annual salute to the holidays Friday evening.

The evening’s performance was opened with Christmas music entitled “Bells Of Christmas Medley” arranged by David Wise and David Shipps. Next comes “A Festival of Carols,” hosted by John Bolin and David Clydesdale.

After a brief intermission, Newby, accompanied by the 50-voice choir and the Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra, performed George Friderich Handel’s masterpiece, “The Messiah.” The chorus soloists were tenor Alan Chavez Garcia, bass Zeke Hinson, alto singer Audrey Nogales, soprano Marcia Lucas, soprano Carol Andersen and soprano Brianna Hernandez.

All Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra performances are free. The production costs of these shows are covered by donations. Additional information can be found at tehachapiorchestra.com.
