PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Morale is high and business is booming in South Philadelphia as Eagles fans await Sunday’s NFC Championship game against the Washington Commanders at home.

“It’s like Christmas all over again. I can’t wait because we’re going to the Super Bowl,” Roxborough’s Felix Morales told Action News inside the Eagles Pro Shop Wednesday afternoon.

Down the road from the stadium, Chickie’s & Pete’s is getting ready for a party.

“Get there early! There’s going to be a line,” said Tommy Ciarrocchi, vice president of culinary at Chickie’s. & Pete’s.

Table reservations for the restaurant’s Sunday watch party have already sold out, with only standing tickets remaining.

Ciarrrocchi said they can seat 950 people at their South Philadelphia location, and he’s confident the place will be packed Sunday afternoon.

“We have these beautiful hardwood floors here. This Sunday you won’t be able to see them. It’s so crazy how crazy it’s going to be,” he explained. “Every time you land, the ceiling roars, like you can hear the vibration.”

At the Navy Yard, the Courtyard Marriott is also preparing to host a full house.

“It’s been a big business boom in Philadelphia,” Derek Beckman, the hotel’s general manager, told Action News.

Beckman said the hotel has seen a 60 percent increase in business thanks to the Birds. They were at capacity for the wild card and divisional rounds, and he said this weekend it was another full house.

“Once Detroit was really eliminated, it was like a crazy flood of bookings, knowing the game was going to be in Philadelphia,” he said.

Beckman also told Action News he thinks about 85 percent of their bookings this weekend will be Eagles fans.
