Peter Schrager, the personality of the initiate of the NFL and television, leaves Fox Sports and NFL Network with ESPN the leader leader as his next destination, the informed sources of the move tell Athletics.
Schrager does not yet have a contract signed with ESPN. If the agreement is finalized, Schrager should be on the daily life of the network, including “NFL Live”, “Get Up”, “First Take” and other studio programs. ESPN is preparing for its initial super bowl in February 2027. Schrager would probably have a role in covering the project.
ESPN refused to comment on the potential decision.
Schrager, 42, has resonated in the company with its public relations with the best coaches, players and executives of the NFL. He accelerated as NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” has gained popularity. Last season, the show moved to Los Angeles. Schrage occasionally appeared in the studio but continued to live in New York and often appeared remotely.
With Fox, Schrager had an avant-match role of the Super Bowl and was part of the network of the network at 11 a.m. pre-match.
