PARKER, Colo. (KKTV) – Parker police said they received a call Tuesday morning from a resident who reported two suspects had stolen a snow blower from a Parker business.
When the caller described the car the suspects left in, officers said they learned the vehicle had been reported stolen. The officers then went to a construction site where they thought the suspects might attack next, and they were right.
Police said they followed the stolen vehicle to a parking lot where it then struck the patrol car before backing out of the parking lot and hitting a tree, preventing the vehicle from rolling onto the road. The driver then tried to flee but was reportedly tagged before slipping in the snow.
Officers arrested the second suspect without any problems and police said neither they nor the suspects were injured.
After arresting both suspects, police said they learned they were both already on probation for motor vehicle theft. They were taken to the Douglas County Jail.
“The combination of an invested resident, new technology and excellent police work led to the arrest of these suspects,” Parker police said. “We value our partnership with the community and their pride in helping us make Parker a great place to live, work and visit.”
