CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – A historic partnership will allow five Charlotte Hornets basketball games to be broadcast on live free television for the first time in nearly 20 years.
Viewers in the Lowcountry will be able to watch Palmetto Sports & Entertainment on WCSC 5.7.
The first of the games will be broadcast on January 27. PSEN will simulcast FanDuel Sports Southeast’s production of the games.

The broadcasts are the result of a partnership between the Gray Media team, which is the parent company of WCSC-TV; Capitol Broadcasting and Fan Duel Sports Southeast.

The Hornets broadcast team consists of play-by-play announcer Eric Collins, analyst and Hornets legend Dell Curry and host/sideline reporter Shannon Spake. These games are being made available for live local distribution as part of the NBA’s agreement with Main Street Sports Group, owner of FanDuel Sports Southeast.
These shows are the first to air on free, over-the-air television since NBC’s 2007-2008 season.
