Owensboro, Ken. (WFIE) – An entertainment project in Owensboro was approved for $ 2 million in incentives under Kentucky Tourism Development Act.

As we have reported, a request was made by TS Entertainment, LLC to transform the Towne Square shopping center on South Frederica Street into an entertainment destination last year.

The Cabinet of Tourism, Arts and Heritage of Kentucky met last week to discuss development plans.

Managers say that the project has the potential to revitalize space, create new jobs and attract visitors to the region.

According to a press release, TS Entertainment, LLC continues to work with local and state partners for the next steps of the project.
