Lakeland, FL (March 11, 2025) -Orlando Health, one of the highest quality hospital systems in the Southeast of the United States, and Watson Clinic, one of the most respected doctors in the country, have united their forces to provide exceptional care to the community. The collaboration will be updated in June 2026 with the opening of the Orlando Health Watson Lakeland Highlands hospital.
“By combining our respective forces, we are able to provide a level of care and services that widens both our capacities while improving patient care,” said Carrasco, main vice-president, Orlando Health Midwest Région. “Watson Clinic is one of the largest and most established health care providers in the region, with more than 84 years of history deeply rooted in the community. We are delighted with our alignment with Watson Clinic and the impact it will have about patient care through the heart of Florida. »»
“Watson Clinic is honored to work alongside one of the country’s most respected health organizations on this magnificent project,” said Watson Clinic, Jason Hirsbrunner. “This collaboration will offer our dedicated patient base an accessible access to doctors and the care that they have the most confidence, and it will provide exceptional health services in our community for future generations.”
The affiliation will be obvious in many regions of the hospital. Experts from the two organizations were strongly involved in the design design of the installation, the selection of advanced technologies and the planning of complete services to offer to meet the needs of the community. On the opening day, the Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital will open with more than 300 beds for hospitalized patients, 69 emergency and observation beds, 11 work rooms, four heart and interventional suites and 18 beds in an intensive care unit (USI) which will serve 36 patients for a complete construction.
Obstetric services and accommodation will also be prominent on the day of opening with eight labor and delivery rooms, two special operating rooms and more than 25 postpartum rooms. A 12 -bed neonatal intensive care unit (USIN) will make its debut shortly after the hospital opened.
“This is one of the largest investments in hospital capital that Orlando Health has made,” added Mr. Carrasco. “It is a great commitment to the community. But it is a great commitment because the community deserves it. »»
