Call everyone who are interested in the environmental sciences! The Department of Land and Planetary Sciences organizes a free, a week program that will present participants in the analysis and career of data on earth sciences in a fun, inclusive and collaborative environment.
THE Escape: Earth Sciences Computing and Programming Experience is in its fourth year at the University of New Mexico. Students will learn from FIELD collection of space data, use of Python programming for the analysis and visualization of earth science data And how to plan a career in Earth and environmental sciences.
The deputy professor of earth sciences and planetary Eric LindseyOne of the program organizers, says that the workshop advantage students who wish to pursue higher education in earth sciences or the environment. “We hope that this can help students who may have never been seen in this type of advanced study to strengthen the trust and substantive skills necessary to succeed,” said Lindsey.
The program will take place from August 4 to 8 at the Northrop Hall. Any undergraduate student is Welcome to apply. The department will provide a lunch for the week,, A local excursion and opportunities to engage and inquire about the first cycle search with the teachers of UNM. Last year Course equipment can be found online.
